This release is actually ridiculously dissapointing Web probably would have been better off staying under the Office division. Too bad the free version of Encoder is crippled to support only 10 mins of screen capture so I won't touch it. I can understand about codec support only in Pro version as they have to pay license fees for every copy but unlimited screen capture and live smooth streaming should have been there in the free version.

Sadly, both have only the free crippled version. Seems the main focus of this release was getting Blend all very ready and perfect for the boom in Silverlight developers Microsoft is anticipating to see with the release of Windows Phone 7. Everything else was just on the side though there were some moderate additions to Encoder. See I'd have to disagree. I have resorted to using Eclipse now, since the Expression team have no interest in updating their product when they introduce serious bugs.

Fair enough, they're offering the upgrade for free I'd be appalled if they didn't to be honest , but its too late for me, the mentioned bug, and the god-awful UI means no more Expression Studio for me. Seeing as Expression Studio isn't just for programming, I think this thread is better suited in another forum; perhaps 'Software Discussion and Assistance' or 'Back Page News'. As it's quite big news for designers, I'm moving it to 'Back Page News'. Thread moved to ' Back Page News '.

Provided you have Expression 3 installed on that computer, the full version will automatically be enabled. If you have studio 3 installed DL the trail for 4 and you upgrade to the ful version for free.
